Biography of Earl Turner
A multi-talented singer, songwriter, musician, dancer and actor, Earl Turner cannot recall a moment without music in his life. His first paid performance at the young age of 13 paved the way for him to pursue his musical dreams. At 19, Earl began traveling the U.S. with various show bands, leading to performing as a front man, and solo recording artist with his Top 40 dance hit in Europe, “Love Caught You By Surprise.”
From the start, audiences embraced his act, the perfect blend of songs that all ages can relate to, spanning many genres. His critically acclaimed performances were touted by reviewers as “…an evening you should not miss” and “…more than anything else, Turner wins over the crowd by working hard.” One critic wrote, “Earl Turner Live is an evening that you should not miss.” Another noted, “More than anything else, Turner wins over the crowd by working hard.”
Having graced the stage at the legendary Dunes and Desert Inn, Earl also performed at major hotel casinos across the country including Luxor, Caesars Palace, The Showroom at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino and The Showroom at Harrah’s in Laughlin, Nevada. In 2004, Earl caught the attention of casino executives at Harrah’s New Orleans and the property transformed its Mansion Ballroom into “The Earl Turner Theatre” where he performed for 2 years.
Earl has received numerous awards including being named the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s “Male Vocalist of the Year”. In 2005, Earl was voted one of the “People To Watch” by New Orleans Magazine and was inducted into the New Orleans Music Hall of Fame.
When not performing for corporate or casino clients, Earl devotes his time to many charitable causes including Special Olympics and Opportunity Village of Las Vegas and also served as a spokesperson for The Blood Center of Louisiana.
